International Actor and Action Star Mark Strange Set to Appear at Leyland Festival
We are super-excited that Leyland-born film and TV actor Mark Strange will make a personal appearance at Leyland Festival, as the special guest of Italian car specialist & publisher Enzari.
Enzari is one of the companies supporting our car show ‘Cars in the Park’. They will welcome Mark to their stand on the day to meet with fans, sign autographs and chat with festival-goers.
Mark is both an actor and fight choreographer, incorporating his extensive martial arts skills and training. He has worked with the likes of Jackie Chan, Donnie Yen and Sir Ian McKellen. He also appeared in Batman Begins and Stan Lee’s Lucky Man. Mark has just finished filming on the global franchise ‘IP MAN 4’, which comes out later this summer.
Mark grew up in Leyland, he attended Seven Stars Junior School and Worden High School. He also ran a martial arts gym in the town. Mark said: “Growing up in Leyland, I have fond memories of Leyland Festival. It was always an event that brought the whole community together and I am really pleased to be able to head to my hometown to be part of Leyland Festival this year.
“I’m really looking forward to chatting with festival-goers and soaking up the atmosphere. Make sure you come along to the Enzari stand to say hello!”
Mark’s most recent film, Redcon-1, won critical acclaim and picked-up five awards at the Urban Action Showcase International Film Festival in New York. Redcon-1 is a zombie apocalypse film, parts of which were shot in Leyland and Preston. Redcon-1 is available now on Netflix.
Jason King is pleased to be welcoming Mark to the Enzari stand at Leyland festival, he said: “Mark is a hugely talented actor, fight choreographer and producer. He is also an incredibly skilful martial arts specialist.
“We are delighted he can join us at the Enzari stand at Leyland Festival. Leyland is Mark’s hometown, and it is just perfect that he had space in his busy schedule to be with us on the day. Mark has a huge following, we hope to see them on the day.”
